Delete your ThaliScan account & data

Deleting removes your account and all cloud data (profile, diary, weights, streaks) permanently. This cannot be undone.

Without the app (Google or Apple sign-in accounts): email hello@garibaitservices.com from the address on your account — the Google address you signed in with, or for Sign in with Apple the email Apple shared with us (if you chose Hide My Email, write from any address and include the relay address shown on your iPhone under Settings → your name → Sign in with Apple → ThaliScan; deleting in the app is quicker), subject "Delete my ThaliScan account". We complete emailed requests within 30 days and confirm by reply.

Guest accounts: if you used ThaliScan as a guest (without signing in with Google or Apple), there is no name or email on the account, so we cannot find it from an email. To delete a guest account straight away, use Settings → Delete account in the app before you uninstall; after uninstalling, it may no longer be reachable. A guest account that is not used for 12 months is deleted automatically, with all of its data, unless a paid subscription on it is still running or it still holds unused scans.

What is deleted: account identifier, profile and plan, meal diary, weight and water logs, fasting days, streaks and badges, weekly coach tips, scan counters and purchase records. What is kept for a limited time: server logs, which record your IP address and, for purchase checks and errors, your account identifier, are deleted automatically within 30 days. Crash reports are deleted after 90 days and usage analytics after at most 14 months; none of these contain your name or email. We keep no backups: deleted data can be recovered by our database for at most one hour, and our cloud provider removes any remaining copies from its own systems within 180 days. Data on your phone is removed when you uninstall the app. Any unused scans in a scan-pack balance are lost. To stop the same purchase from ever being credited twice, we keep a record that a scan-pack purchase was already credited (a fingerprint of its purchase token, the pack and whether it was used up); after deletion it holds no name, email or account identifier and cannot be linked back to you.

Subscriptions (Android app): deleting your account does not cancel a Premium subscription. Cancel it in Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions, before or after deleting.
